  • No AI Use: All content must be original and written by the contributor without the use of AI tools.


  • No Plagiarism: All submissions must be original work, with proper citations (MLA) for any sources used.


  • Word Count: Submissions must fall between 425-725 words.


  • Consistency: Ensure any submissions have a similar layout to the current published articles (i.e., a title, subtitles for each paragraph, etc.)


  • Age Requirement: Writers must be currently enrolled in high school.


  • U.S. Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of the United States.


  • Basic Science Knowledge: A foundational understanding of science and medicine is required to ensure accurate and insightful content.


  • Strong Writing Skills: Applicants should have a solid grasp of grammar, punctuation, and the ability to write clearly and effectively.


  • Reliability: Consistently meet deadlines on edits and maintain communication with the editorial team.


  • Collaborative Spirit: Be willing to work with editors and other contributors to refine and improve your articles.
